I am MOUSSA OMOROU from Togo, a Master's student of 2020 Batch in the School of Basic Medical Sciences, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Jiamusi University. I got my Master’s degree in Jun 2023. Living and studying in China has been a tremendous experience, and I would like to share some glimpses here.
我是来自多哥的木萨，是必威官方基础医学院生物化学与分子生物学专业2020级硕士研究生，我是2023年6月硕士毕业。在中国的生活和学习经历非常难忘，我想在这里分享一些片段。
After obtaining my Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Lomé (Togo), several opportunities arose for me to pursue my Master's degree. I eventually decided to continue my studies in China, a completely different environment with a culture that is very different from mine. The purpose of this choice was to simultaneously continue my studies and learn about this culture that dates back thousands of years.
在获得多哥洛美大学生物医学科学学士学位后，我有很多机会继续攻读硕士学位。最终，我决定到中国继续我的学业，这是一个与我完全不同的环境，文化也截然不同。我选择这样做的目的是在继续读书的同时，能够了解这个拥有几千年历史文化的国家。
When I came in China, I didn't understand a single word of Chinese. Nevertheless, the first two days I spent in Beijing were made much easier by the comrades I came with who were already familiar with the environment, as well as those who were already there.
当我第一次来到中国时，我一句中文都不懂。然而，我在北京度过的前两天得到了来自同胞们的帮助，他们对这个环境已经很熟悉，我相信有一天我也能说出流利的中文，自如的交流。
My adaptation to life in Jiamusi was very easy and fast due to the wonderful people I met upon my arrival. One of the most unforgettable things during my first weeks in Jiamusi was the fact that, since I didn't understand any Chinese, I had obtained the number of a restaurant that I called every day. I always ordered the same dish each time; it was the dish with the easiest name for me to pronounce.
我在佳木斯的生活适应得非常容易和快速，这得益于我抵达时遇到的一些出色的同学们。在我刚到佳木斯的最初几周，最难忘的事情之一是，由于我不懂中文，我取得了一家餐馆的电话号码，我每天都打电话去订同样的菜，这是我最容易发音的菜名。
A significant part of my stay in China was affected by COVID-19. Therefore, I did not have the opportunity to participate in as many events as I would have liked. But despite the duration of the pandemic and the associated difficulties, I was able to participate in some cultural and sports events. For example, we won the football competition organized by Jiamusi University in 2021. I took part in the trips to "Lo Bei" in May 2021 and "Fu Yuan" in July 2022. I also participated in organizing the foreign students for the sports games in May 2023.
我在中国留学的期间，受到了COVID-19疫情的严重影响。因此，我没有机会参加许多的活动。尽管疫情持续时间长且伴随着困难，但我还是有机会参加了一些文化和体育活动。例如，我们在2021年赢得了必威官方组织的足球比赛冠军；我参加了2021年5月的“萝北县文体广电和旅游局”之行和2022年7月的“抚远旅游”之行；我还参与组织了2023年5月的学生运动会。
During the 2022-2023 academic year, I had the chance to be the representative of foreign students, which allowed me to gain new experiences. I also had the honor of representing the graduating foreign students in 2023, which gave me the opportunity to deliver a farewell speech at the graduation ceremony.
在2022-2023学年期间，我有幸成为国奖留学生班长，这使我获得了新的经验。我还有幸代表2023届毕业的留学生，在毕业典礼上发表了演讲。
In conclusion, this stay in China has been an enriching experience, allowing me to learn about Chinese culture and especially the beautiful Chinese language，and made a lot of Chinese friends.
总的来说，这次在中国的留学是一段充实且快乐的人生经历，使我能够学习中国文化，尤其是美丽的中文语言，认识了很多喜欢的中国朋友。
I would like to thank both the Togolese and Chinese governments for enabling me to have such experiences.
